Job title: Financial Controller
Reports to: Finance Director
Be responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of all financial information for the Company ensuring that the necessary accounting and internal controls are in place to ensure the reliability of all month end actuals and quarterly forecasts that are submitted to the Be Heard group.
Assist in the development of high-quality management reporting to helps us makes a real impact on decision making to control the business.
Monthly forecasting of client revenues and costs.
Monthly review of the client profitability pack prepared by the client finance accountant.
Monthly client profitability pack review with the client services teams and any actions to be resolved to agreed deadlines.
Preparation of the monthly KPI pack for the management team.
Preparation of weekly cash flow to be sent to the Be Heard group.
Preparation of the quarterly and yearly resourcing schedules to ensure we have enough resource to deliver agreed client scopes.
Working capital management to ensure there are no debtors and accrued revenue over 90 days.
Ad hoc client media reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting of media underspends.
Management of the finance team incl. monthly 1-2-1’s to ensure their ongoing development.
Monthly payroll management with the outsourced payroll company
Act as the systems champion for Mediaocean and ensure that we are optimising our use of the system, we identify and deliver any improvements and ensure that all users are trained and are competent users.
Implementation of best practice and continual improvement to ensure that we provide a highly effective and most efficient finance function rather than one based on the “way things have always been done”.
Ad hoc requests from the Be Heard Group.
The ideal candidate
A finalist/qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
Strong excel skills.
Mediaocean experience would be beneficial.
Experience in a digital marketing and/or agency business and have a detailed understanding of the P&L/Balance sheet and a real sense of responsibility/ownership of the numbers.
